The Case CX80 Tier 3 is equipped with an electronically-controlled Isuzu diesel engine. With high pressure common rail fuel injection, fuel cooling and Exhaust Gas recirculation (EGR) this motor easily meets the requirements of the EU directive 97/68/EC Tier 3A on engine emissions and is well prepared for the future move to Tier 4. Electronic control, working in combination with the Case hydraulic Intelligent Computer Command Control System (ICCCS) optimises the engine output to meet the load on the hydraulic system. This results in a high level of response and maximum controllability for the operator, along with reduced consumption and emissions. The engine incorporates an automatic and one-touch idle system on the joystick to maximise fuel efficiency.
